At Burnt Chimney Elementary we have approximately 300 students in preschool, kindergarten, and grades 1-5.
In grades Prek-2nd homeroom teachers teach all core subjects: reading/language arts, math, science, and social studies. In grades 3, 4, and 5 classrooms are departmentalized which means that your child will have more than one teacher for core subject instruction. Support personnel provide special services including library, social/emotional learning, physical education, speech, art, music, computers, gifted education, and special services. Faculty, staff, and administration incorporate a teamwork approach in assisting each child in his/her educational development.
